Governor Beshear Orders Flags to Half-staff on April 25

FRANKFORT, Ky.– Gov. Steve Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in honor of a Kentucky Marine who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

According to the Department of Defense, Cpl. Aaron M. Faust, 22, Louisville, Ky., died April 15 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.  He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Funeral services for Cpl. Faust will be held on April 25 at 10 a.m. Eastern time at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Louisville, Ky.  Burial services will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville.  Gov. Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies to join in this tribute.
