Governor Beshear Names New Deputy Communications Director
FRANKFORT, Ky.—Gov. Beshear today named longtime public relations professional and state government employee Terry Sebastian as his new deputy communications director. Sebastian will begin with the administration today, May 16.
Most recently, Sebastian has served as director of communications for State Auditor Crit Luallen’s office. He first entered state government in 1992 as a public information officer with the Legislative Research Commission and since has also served in roles as deputy press secretary for the Governor's office, press secretary for the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet and director of communications for the Kentucky Treasury.
Sebastian, in his capacity as deputy communications director, will serve as liaison to communications officers throughout state government and will assist with spokesperson duties.
Jill Midkiff, the most recent deputy communications director, will continue to serve the Beshear Administration as communications director for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
