Governor Beshear Orders Flags to Half-staff on April 30
FRANKFORT, Ky.– Gov. Steve Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff on Saturday, April 30, 2011 in honor of a Fort Campbell soldier who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
According to the Department of Defense, Spc. Jameson L. Lindskog, 23, of Pleasanton, Calif. died March 29 of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire in Konar province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
Funeral services for Spc. Lindskog will be held on April 30 at 3 p.m. Pacific time at Veterans Memorial Hall in Pleasanton, Calif. Gov. Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies to join in this tribute.
