Governor Beshear Orders Flags to Half-staff on Nov. 30
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Steve Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 in honor of a Fort Campbell soldier who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
According to the Department of Defense, Spc. Jesse A. Snow, 25, of Fairborn, Ohio died Nov. 14 in Kunar province, Afghanistan, when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
Funeral services for Spc. Snow will be held on Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. Eastern time at Mary Help of Christians Church in Fairborn, Ohio. Burial services will immediately follow at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn. Gov. Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset that day.
