Governor Beshear Orders Flags to Half-staff on Nov. 24

FRANKFORT, Ky.– Gov. Steve Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 in honor of a Fort Campbell soldier who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

According to the Department of Defense, Spc. Scott T. Nagorski, 27, of Greenfield, Wis. died Nov. 14 in Kunar province, Afghanistan, when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire.  He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.

Funeral services for Spc. Nagorski will be be held on Nov. 24 at noon Central time at Max A Sass Funeral Home Mission Hills Chapel in Franklin, Wis.  Burial services will follow at 2 p.m. Central time at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wis.  Gov. Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset that day.
