Governor Beshear makes appointments to Boards and Commissions
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Gov. Beshear has appointed Michael L. Wright as Magistrate for the First District of Trigg County.
- Michael L. Wright, of Cadiz, is a teacher. The appointment replaces Shannon Knight, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has appointed David A. Collins as Magistrate for the Seventh District of Christian County.
- David A. Collins, of Hopkinsville, is a store manager at H&R Agri-Power. The appointment replaces William H. “Bill” Bruce, who is deceased.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Jeffrey G. Lear as Magistrate for the Fourth District of Nelson County.
- Jeffrey G. Lear, of Bardstown, is president of Bardstown Internet Service Inc. The appointment replaces Tim Hutchins, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has appointed John A. Brooks to the Kentucky Milk Commission to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Aug. 1, 2011.
- John A. Brooks, of Maysville, is a region manager for Dairy Farmers of America. He is an employee representative of milk marketing agencies or dairy cooperatives. The appointment replaces Richard Sparrow, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Maurice Lucas as County Judge/Executive of Breckinridge County.
- Maurice Lucas, of Hardinsburg, is the owner of Lucas Brothers Hardware. The appointment replaces Ray Powers, who has resigned. The appointment is effective Nov. 22, 2010.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Board of Prosthetics, Orthotics and Pedorthics:
- Robert O. Williams, of Harrodsburg, is retired. Williams shall serve for a term expiring July 1, 2011.
- Edward H. Gildehaus III, of Lexington, is an orthotist, prosthetist and pedorthist with Central Brace & Prosthetics Inc. Giledhaus shall serve for a term expiring July 1, 2012.
- Paul O. Hatcher, of Richmond, is an ABC certified prothetist and orthotist Central Brace & Prosthetics. Hatcher shall serve for a term expiring July 1, 2012.
- Eric L. Miller, of Frankfort, is director of orthotics and prosthetics at Shriner’s Hospital. Miller shall serve for a term expiring July 1, 2013.
- Sienna G. Newman, of Louisville, is an orthotist and prosthetist. Newman shall server for a term expiring July 1, 2013.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Price C. Hoskins as Magistrate for the Second District of Clay County.
- Price C. Hoskins, of Big Creek, is a business operator. The appointment replaces Stanley Bowling, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has appointed James A. Lyons as Magistrate for the Second District of Scott County.
- James A. Lyons, of Georgetown, is a self-employed farmer. The appointment replaces Gary A. Perry, who is deceased.
