Governor Beshear recognizes sacrifice of Kentucky Army National Guard casualty
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Steve Beshear today recognized the sacrifice of a Kentucky Army National Guard soldier who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
According to the Department of Defense, Sgt. Randolph A. Sigley, 28, of Richmond, Ky., died April 18 in Bagram, Afghanistan. The circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation. He was assigned to the Kentucky Army National Guard's 2123rd Transportation Company, Richmond, Ky.
The Governor will order that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of Sgt. Sigley’s interment for which arrangements are still pending.
