Governor Beshear recognizes sacrifice of Fort Campbell Casualty, orders flags to half-staff on April 19
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Steve Beshear today recognized the sacrifice of a Fort Campbell soldier who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
According to the United States Army, Private First Class Jonathon D. Hall, 23, died April 8 in Landstuhl, Germany, of injuries sustained April 7 when in an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.
Gov. Steve Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Monday, April 19, 2010 in honor of Private First Class Hall. Burial services will be held April 19 at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Gov. Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies to join in this tribute.
