Statement by Governor Beshear regarding passage of credit transfer bill
FRANKFORT, Ky. – “More and more Kentuckians are pursuing higher education, and it’s important to make it easier for students to benefit from classes they’ve already taken. That’s why I am so pleased the General Assembly passed the credit transfer bill, which will create some much-needed commonalities among our higher education institutions so students may move class credits among schools more seamlessly. This is a common-sense approach to help our students pursue the degrees they need to succeed, which will in turn, make Kentucky an even more attractive target for jobs and growth. Not a single dissenting vote was cast against this measure throughout the legislative process. I’d like to applaud the General Assembly for its overwhelming support.”
