Statement from Governor and First Lady Beshear
FRANKFORT, Ky. – “With heavy hearts, Jane and I offer our sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who died in this morning's terrible crash on I-65 in Hart County. Our office has been in constant contact with emergency responders since the accident happened early this morning, and we will continue to closely monitor the investigation. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Division of Emergency Management, Public Health Department, Department for Environmental Protection and Kentucky State Police among others are working alongside the National Transportation Safety Board and local emergency responders to investigate the crash and clear the area. Today and the days that follow will be very difficult for these families and the surrounding community. Our entire state grieves with the community and all the families will remain in our thoughts and prayers.”
