FRANKFORT, Ky.—Due to technical complications related to the conversion to the new, statewide accounting system, some child support recipients have experienced a two-to-three day delay in receiving their checks. Child support payments are expected to be back on schedule by Thursday, July 13.

To assist child support recipients who have been affected by this delay, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services Division of Child Support is providing toll-free updates at 800-443-1576. Due to the high volume of calls, callers are urged to be patient and redial the number if they receive a busy signal. This message will be regularly updated as new information becomes available.  The text of the current message is listed below:

Computer problems associated with changing interfaces to the new statewide accounting system resulted in a slight delay in the disbursement of child support payments.   If you are an in-state recipient and you receive your child support payments by direct deposit, all child support payments that were scheduled to be received on July 6, 7, and 10th should be deposited into your bank account.  If you are an out-of-state recipient and you receive your child support payments by direct deposit, all payments that were scheduled to be received on July 6, 7, and 10th have been forwarded to the other state for processing.

The Division of Child Support is working with those banks in other states to verify proper allocation of payments.  If you receive your payment by mail, all payments that should have been mailed have now been placed in the mail, with the exception of those that were to be mailed yesterday or today. Paper checks from payments that should be mailed on July 11 and 12th are still being processed by the Division of Child Support and will be mailed as soon as possible. The Division of Child Support will continue to update this message as additional information is obtained.  Please continue to check this system for updates.
