Financial Institutions Board to Hold Annual Meeting
FRANKFORT, Ky. – (Aug. 29, 2011) – The Board of the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) will meet on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at Rough River Dam State Resort Park in Falls of Rough, Ky. The board will meet from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. CDT, with a luncheon for the board members beginning at noon. The annual meeting provides an opportunity for the 12 members who represent banking, consumer finance, credit unions, public at large and securities to receive and comment on reports relating to the agency’s activities. Other board duties are outlined in Kentucky Revised Statute 286.1-013. The meeting is open to the public.

It supervises the financial services industry by examining, chartering, licensing and registering various financial institutions, securities firms and professionals operating in Kentucky.
