Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission to Meet
Frankfort, Ky. (Nov. 30, 2015) – The Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission will conduct its public year-end meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, in the training room at 801 Teton Trail, Frankfort.
The agenda includes the following items:
• A presentation by ecologist Martina Hines on the recent history and status of Black Mountain since the establishment of a conservation easement;
• The presentation of the Biological Diversity Protection Award to Christy Lee Brown of Louisville;
• The presentation of the Volunteer Steward Award to Kyle Elliott of Mount Sterling; and,
• The welcoming of Ted Jessup of Muhlenberg County as a new commissioner. Jessup represents the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts.
