Frankfort during civil war, archival research focus of Kentucky Archives Institute in July
FRANKFORT, Ky. - "Reflections of the Past” will be the theme of the 25th annual Kentucky Archives Institute July 10 at the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA), 300 Coffee Tree Road, Frankfort. The Institute, sponsored by the Friends of Kentucky Public Archives, Inc., provides information for scholars, general researchers, and genealogists interested in archival research.
Featured speakers at this year's event include James Prichard, Kentucky author and historian; Mike Grimes, Adoption Services Branch Manager, Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services; and Barbara Teague, Lisa Thompson and Mark Myers, KDLA.
A registration fee of $45 includes attendance at the Institute from 8:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m., lunch and all materials. Deadline for registration is July 2 and seating is limited to 50.
