Kentucky Career Center sponsors free employer workshop April 16
Lexington event to help employers recruit, retain workers with disabilities
FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 2, 2015) — The Kentucky Career Center will host a free one-day workshop for employers April 16 at The Embassy Suites, 1801 Newtown Pike, Lexington from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Deadline to register is March 27.
An Untapped Labor Pool: Recruiting and Retaining Workers with Disabilities workshop will focus on current issues regarding employers recruiting, hiring and retaining highly-qualified applicants with disabilities. The conference will include a workforce panel on the subject, as well as other expert presenters during lunch and throughout the afternoon.
In addition, sessions will provide training and education to federal contractors about compliance with non-discrimination and affirmative action regulations, and highlight best practices for developing and maintaining compliant and effective workplace policies.
