CAMPBELLSVILLE NATIVE NAMED TO NATIONAL COMMITTEE To provide direction for insurance industry electronic filing products FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 21, 2005) – Tracy J. Bertram, a Campbellsville native and Kentucky Office of Insurance (KOI) employee, has been elected to serve on the national System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF) product steering committee.
SERFF was developed in the early 1990s by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners to provide an effective method of handling insurance policy rate and form filings between regulators and insurance companies. The 18-member steering committee is made up of regulators and industry users from across the nation.
“We are very proud of Tracy’s election to this national committee,” said Glenn Jennings, executive director of KOI. “His knowledge of the product will be an asset to the committee, as well as to our insurers.”
Bertram, a 1989 graduate of Campbellsville University, has been at KOI since 1998 and currently is director of the property and casualty division.
The son of the Rev. Clarence and Mary Bertram of Campbellsville, he and his wife, Brenna, live in Shelbyville.
