KYEM Director Michael Dossett to Receive National InfraGard Award
FRANKFORT, Ky. Sept. 21, 2015 –Kentucky Emergency Management, Kentucky InfraGard Chapter and Director Michael Dossett were honored today with the 2015 Award for Public Private Partnership at the InfraGard National Members Alliance Congress (INMA). The first-time category award was presented in concert with comments by FBI Director James Comey and INMA national officials at the annual meeting in Virginia.
"It’s an honor to be recognized by an organization that represents the hallmark of building partnerships across the nation,” Dossett said, “We are pleased to contribute to the InfraGard team effort that takes place every day across the Commonwealth of Kentucky”
Dossett and Kentucky Emergency Management were nominated by Michael Poynter, Executive Director of the Kentucky InfraGard Chapter, for their long-time outreach with Commonwealth public and private partnerships. With nearly 40,000 members, Dossett was one of more than 60 national nominees to be considered for this year's honors in eight categories. The Kentucky Chapter was also honored for contributions in continuing partnerships.
InfraGard serves as a key program in the mission of the FBI, sharing knowledge, information and analytical efforts in developing public-private partnerships dedicated to increasing the security of our nation's critical infrastructures.
