Council on Postsecondary Education sets meetings

The Council on Postsecondary Education will hold several meetings June 11- 12 at several locations: Alice Lloyd College, Hindman Settlement School, University Center of the Mountains, and Hazard Community and Technical College.

Thursday, June 11:

  • 9 a.m. ET - The Council’s Strategic Agenda Steering Committee will meet in the Foster McGaw Library of Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes. An agenda is available at http://cpe.ky.gov/committees/sa16-20/.  
  • 12 p.m. ET - The Council will hold a work session, “Focus on Alice Lloyd College and AIKCU,” in the Foster McGaw Library of Alice Lloyd College. No formal action will be taken.
  • 3 p.m. ET – Council members will participate in a briefing session and tour of the Hindman Settlement School in Hindman.
  • 5:45 p.m. ET -- A briefing, reception and dinner will be held in the J. Marvin Jolly Classroom Center at the University Center of the Mountains in Hazard. No formal action will be taken.

Friday, June 12:

The following meetings will take place in the First Federal Center at Hazard Community and Technical College in Hazard.

  • 8 a.m. ET - The Council’s Executive Committee will meet in Room 228. The meeting agenda is available at http://cpe.ky.gov/committees/executive/.  
  • 9 a.m. ET - The Council will hold a business meeting in Room 123A. The meeting agenda is available at http://cpe.ky.gov/about/cpe/meetings/2015.htm.  
  • A luncheon will be provided for Council members and institutional presidents in Rooms 123D and 123E. No action will be taken.
