Green Named District 9 Probation & Parole Supervisor

     Frankfort, Ky. (May 16, 2008) – Kentucky Department of Corrections Director of Probation & Parole Lelia “Lee” VanHoose today announced that Robin Green has been promoted to District 9 Supervisor. The district includes all of Fayette County.
     “Robin Green has been an excellent Probation and Parole officer, as well as, an outstanding Assistant Supervisor for this Division. Her promotion to District Supervisor is well deserved and has been earned with integrity and dedication,” said VanHoose. “I look forward to working with Mrs. Green as she begins this phase of her career. I expect only great things from her in this position.”
     Originally from western New York, Green earned her bachelor’s degree at SUNY Brockport and then her master’s degree in Criminal Justice at Eastern Kentucky University. She began her career as a juvenile worker for the New York State Division for Youth, and later moved to Memphis where she worked as a Parole Officer. Following that, she returned to New York where she was a Probation Officer for Saratoga County for several years.
     Green moved to Lexington, Ky., in 1989 and started work for the state Division of Probation & Parole as an Officer in Lexington the following year. In 2005, she was promoted to Assistant Supervisor in District 9.
     She and her husband, Ken, have 2 grown children.
