Frankfort, KY – Kevin Pangburn, Mental Health Director for the Kentucky Department of Corrections, today announced the lateral transfers of Georgia Dunn and Gwen Holder.  They will be Program Administrators for the Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Programs (AODA) in the Mental Health Division.

In their roles they will be coordinating institutional and community based substance abuse services.

She then transferred to the Department of Corrections as a Classification & Treatment Officer at Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex. She was promoted to the position of Training Instructor/Coordinator with the Division of Corrections Training and then to the position of Parole Board Specialist II with the Kentucky Parole Board. Her most recent position was Corrections Program Administrator under the Contract Management Branch, Office of Support Services in the Department of Corrections. Dunn holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Criminology from Morehead State University and will complete her Masters of Education in Counseling and Human Development this year.

Holder began her career as a Clinical Supervisor for the Jefferson Alcohol and Drug Abuse Center (JADAC Program) at the Kentucky Correctional Institute for Women. When the Department of Corrections took over the program, she was Program Administrator for the Substance Abuse Program at KCIW. Prior to working at KCIW, Holder worked in two different chemical dependency treatment programs working with adolescents and adults. Holder holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
