| Frankfort, KY – Kentucky Department of Corrections Deputy Commissioner George Million today announced that Ron Beck, a 13-year veteran of the Corrections profession, has been named a Deputy Warden at the Green River Correctional Complex in Central City.
“Ron Beck is a dedicated Corrections professional who serves this agency in multi-faceted tasks that are intense and demanding and he performs them all exceptionally well,” said Million. “We welcome him to our management team and believe he has a very bright future with the Department.”
Beck is a native of the area and a 1982 graduate of Central City High School. He spent 10 years in the United States Air Force Security Police. He began his Corrections career at Western Kentucky Correctional Complex in September 1992 as a Correctional Officer. He was promoted to Sergeant in December 1993 and then transferred to Green River and promoted to Lieutenant in Internal Affairs in September 1994. In February 2000, he was promoted to Administrative Specialist III and served as the institution’s Procedure’s Officer, Litigation and Inmate Grievance Coordinator.
Beck and his wife Sharon, a nurse at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital, live in Greenville. They have six children and two grandchildren. Three children are in college. Beck’s parents, Jerry and Donna Beck, also reside in Central City. |
