LONDON, Ky. – London will once again host the annual Thriller Ride, a Halloween-themed bicycle ride through Laurel, Jackson and Clay counties on Oct. 10.

The ride, part of the Kentucky Outdoor Adventure Games, includes routes of 13, 25, 44 and 64 miles. The two longest rides have rest stops along the way. The 25-mile route has a rest stop at the midway point and the 13-mile route will have drinks and refreshments at the end of the ride. The start time is 9 a.m. in London for three rides. The 13-mile trip starts in Greenmount at 9:30 a.m.

The ride is operated by the Cumberland Valley Cycling Club, and the London-Laurel County Tourist Commission assists in organizing the event.

“This is the peak of the eastern Kentucky fall color season, and all four routes are very scenic,” said Rodney Hendrickson, head of the tourist commission. “October is a perfect time for an enjoyable ride through this region.”
