Attorney General Conway Announces Arrest of Jessamine County Man for Possession of Child Pornography
Attorney General Jack Conway today announced the arrest of a Jessamine County man for possession of child pornography. Robert A. Walker, 40, of Nicholasville faces four counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, a Class D felony, as a result of an investigation by General Conway’s Cybercrimes Unit.
Cybercrimes Investigators executed a search warrant at Walker’s home on Thursday, April 15, 2010. He was later taken into custody by the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Department. Walker, who was convicted of 3rd degree sexual abuse in 1994 for having sex with a 15-year-old girl, is lodged in the Jessamine County Jail on a $50,000 full cash bond. He faces arraignment on Monday, April 19, 2010 in Jessamine District Court.
Since its creation in June of 2008, Attorney General Conway’s Cybercrimes Unit, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, has seized nearly 55,000 child pornographic images from the Internet and investigated more than 100 child pornography cases in Kentucky.
A charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
