Attorney General Conway Announces Woodford County Man Pleads Guilty to Child Porn Charges
Attorney General Jack Conway announced today that a Woodford County man pleaded guilty in federal court to receiving child pornography.
Johnny Todd, 38, entered the guilty plea on November 3. He will be sentenced on February 3, 2011.
Investigators from Attorney General Conway's Cybercrimes Unit, with assistance from the Versailles Police, arrested Todd after executing a search warrant at his Versailles home. Child pornography videos were found on his computer. Todd, who previously served 7 ½ months of a one-year sentence for distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, is a registered sex offender.
Since its creation in June of 2008, Attorney General Conway's Cybercrimes Unit, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, has seized nearly 80,000 child pornographic images from the Internet and investigated more than 100 child pornography cases in Kentucky.
Attorneys from the United States Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of Kentucky prosecuted Todd's case.
