Tuesday, May 22, 2012 The Attorney General's Election Fraud Hotline, 800-328-VOTE (800-328-8683), is open throughout the year during normal business hours and from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. (EST) during today's Primary Election.
- Attorney General Conway Announces Guilty Plea of Former Social Worker for Falsifying Child Abuse and Neglect Reports
Tuesday, May 22, 2012 Attorney General Jack Conway announced the guilty plea today of a former social worker with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to nine felony counts of tampering with public records. Sixty-one-year-old Margaret "Geri" Murphy entered the guilty plea in Anderson Circuit Court in connection with her role as a front-line worker investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect in Anderson County. Reports of child abuse and neglect are assigned to a social worker to investigate and file a report finding the abuse or neglect is substantiated or unsubstantiated. In all nine investigations charged in the indictment, Murphy documented that child abuse or neglect was unsubstantiated.

Tuesday, May 22, 2012 The Attorney General's Election Fraud Hotline, 800-328-VOTE (800-328-8683), is open throughout the year during normal business hours and from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. (EST) during today's Primary Election. As of 10:30 a.m. this morning, the hotline had received the following calls.

Monday, May 21, 2012 As voters prepare to head to the polls tomorrow, Attorney General Jack Conway reminds Kentuckians that they can help his office combat vote fraud by utilizing his Election Fraud Hotline. Kentuckians who witness election irregularities or possible election law violations are encouraged to call the Election Fraud Hotline at 800-328-VOTE (800-328-8683).
- Kentucky to Join $90 Million Medicaid Suit against Healthpoint, Ltd.
Friday, May 18, 2012 Attorney General Jack Conway and his Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control announced today that Kentucky will intervene in a civil lawsuit against Healthpoint, Ltd. in United States District Court, District of Massachusetts. The Commonwealth's motion to intervene in the $90 million whistleblower lawsuit was granted on May 16, 2012.
- Lexington Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges
Wednesday, May 16, 2012 Attorney General Jack Conway today announced the arrest of a Lexington, Ky. man for possession of child pornography. Investigators from the Attorney General's Cybercrimes Unit, with assistance from Lexington Metro Police, arrested 41-year-old Eliazar Rincon today after executing a search warrant at his Lexington home. Rincon is charged with four counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, a Class D felony.

- Attorney General Conway Announces $6 Million Settlement with Merck
Tuesday, May 15, 2012 Attorney General Jack Conway today announced that he has recovered $6 million on behalf of the Kentucky Medicaid program following a settlement with Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp. f/k/a Merck & Co., Inc. This is the latest in a number of settlements in so-called Average Wholesale Price or AWP lawsuits filed by the Office of the Attorney General against 47 of the nation's largest pharmaceutical companies.

Friday, May 11, 2012 Attorney General Jack Conway today announced that he has recovered another $1.75 million on behalf of the Kentucky Medicaid program as the result of a settlement with Forest Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Tuesday, May 01, 2012 Attorney General Jack Conway has joined his fellow state Attorneys General, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Ad Council in support of the inaugural Stop the Texts Day today. According to a national survey released by the Ad Council, 60 percent of young adult drivers (16-24) said they have texted while driving.

Friday, April 27, 2012 Attorney General Jack Conway and his Office of Victims Advocacy are proud to host the 2012 Victims' Assistance Conference April 25-27 at the Galt House Hotel, 140 North 4th St. Louisville, Ky. Attorney General Conway will make opening remarks at the conference beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25. More than 200 victim service providers, advocates, social workers, prosecutors and law enforcement from across Kentucky are expected to attend the conference designed to alert advocates and others about pressing crime and violence issues.

- Attorney General Conway Announces $101.7 Million in Tobacco Settlement Money
Thursday, April 19, 2012 Attorney General Jack Conway announced today that Kentucky, as required under the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) between the major tobacco manufacturers and 52 states and territories, received its annual payment of more than $101.7 million in tobacco settlement money this week.
- Four Arrested Following Disability Fraud Investigation in Laurel County
Thursday, April 19, 2012 Attorney General Jack Conway today announced the arrest of four people following an investigation by the new Cooperative Disability Investigations (CDI) Unit. The unit was created in September of 2011 through a joint partnership between the Attorney General's Office, Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to combat and detect fraud in federal disability benefit programs.
