Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea – Thanksgiving Weekend Hours
The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, but open regular hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) all other days that week, providing visitors with exciting possibilities for finding Kentucky-made gifts for that special person on their list.
Whether you are shopping for special gifts or preparing your home for the holidays, the center, conveniently located off Interstate 75, offers a wide array of beautiful gifts created by more than 700 Kentucky artisans.
During this traditional kick-off to holiday shopping weekend, Jason Kelty, of Shepherdsville, will demonstrate stone carving on Saturday, Dec. 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Convenient to visitors on this traditional holiday shopping weekend, the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is located at 200 Artisan Way, just off Interstate 75 at Berea Exit 77. The Center’s exhibits, shopping, and travel information areas are all open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the cafe offers fine Kentucky cuisine from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
The center currently features works by more than 700 artisans from more than 100 counties across the Commonwealth. A gallery exhibit, “It Takes Two: Collaborations by Kentucky Artisans” is on display through Feb. 27, 2016, and in the lobby the center’s 18-foot Christmas tree is adorned with an array of Kentucky-made ornaments.
