On Saturday, April 11, the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea will offer visitors free guided tours through the center’s gallery exhibit, “Turn, Turn, Turn: Lathe-Turned Works by Kentucky Artisans” and the lobby exhibit, “Kentucky Murals by Frank W. Long.”

The exhibit “Turn, Turn, Turn” features lathe-turned works by 20 Kentucky artists. It includes vessels, ornaments, jewelry, and even a wooden golf club. These works are created from wood, alabaster stone, aluminum, stainless steel and sterling silver.

The lobby exhibit showcases the murals located in Kentucky created by artist Frank W. Long (1906-1999). These murals are on view in Berea, Lexington, Louisville and Morehead. From 1932-1942, Long lived and worked in Berea creating over 19 murals for public and federal buildings in the states of Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, Maryland and South Carolina.
